SUMMARY:The "70-70" BDR. The Best of Both! Fall Colors Ride.
DESCRIPTION:I’ve been planning out the details of this ride for a couple years and I’m super excited to bring it to you. The 70-70 BDR. Colorado BDR south from I-70 at Gypsum and Utah BDR north to I-70 at Green River. There are going to be numerous Route changes to the standard BDR maps and some side trips to see cool sights along the way. \nSaturday we will meet up at Wooly Mammoth P&R and head out to Gypsum and start the route. We will plan to camp our last night in Green River State park in Utah before heading home Sunday the 6th. Other camping spots will be Leadville\, Lake City\, Canyon of the Ancients\, 3 Step Hideaway\, Moab. Exact locations will be determined based on our pace and location each day. \nThis route will bypass the Alpine loop in favor of the “easy” bypass because the falls colors along that stretch are amazing. I’m aiming to keep this a bit more easy and comfortable ride\, but sand in southern Utah is always present. All bikes are welcome but we will be riding I-70 back from Green River so 65 mph top speed is needed. \nPlease make sure your bike is in good mechanical condition with good Knobby tires\, spare front and rear tubes (even if tubeless)\, and a took kit specific to your bike. \nNight time temps in Colorado at that time can be down into the low 30s or even 20s. We will try not to camp at super high elevations but please plan accordingly. \nOther than 3 Step Hideaway\, no hotels are planned. \nAny questions call or text \n970-663-5978 \nAdam Animal
